Welcome to St. Luke Union American Methodist Episcopal Church
Welcome to St. Luke, on behalf of our pastor, officials and members we would like to welcome you into our website. We pray that the information found on this site will bring a smile on your face, warmth in your heart and the blessed assurance that Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Our doors and hearts are always open so please visit us again and again and again.
Our mission here at St. Luke is to teach and to preach sound Bible doctrine under the unction of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the Triune God; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit is One God. We believe that salvation comes only through faith and personal confession of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Spiritual growth only comes with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, with the increase of the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, and by applying the Word of God to our lives. We strive to strengthen one another by showing and by sharing the love of God, allowing the Spirit to demonstrate God’s loving kindness and tender mercies in our midst. Our mission is to share our faith in Jesus Christ with the community and with all people. We strive to be the soul winning believers that expect to see the increase of God’s kingdom here on earth.
We envision St. Luke to be a vibrant, active, growing body of Christ. We expect church growth spiritually with the saved souls, numerically, and financially. God’s Word believed and communicated to others will make a positive impact in our community. Therefore, we will strive to share our love of the Lord with all people, and purpose to be the soul winning believers that the Lord wants us to be, spreading the truth of the gospel. We expect to see people delivered from strongholds, lives transformed, and families blessed. The power of God’s Word and the blood of Jesus Christ will never lose its power. James 5:16b says: The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Our vision it to be Spirit directed prayer warriors and faithful servants of the Lord for God’s glory.
